  • Creative Photos to Tell Your Story

I love taking pictures, and I come from a long line of picture-taking people. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and now I'm setting up shop in Columbus, Ohio.

Life is an adventure and a gift. The beauty found in each of these deserves to be documented with tender-loving care and a critical eye. This is my job as a photographer, and it's a job I take seriously.

I offer an opportunity to capture important moments with creative and candid images.

  • Wow

Something I never thought I would do...I went Xanga Premium.

Just for one month, which is $4. It is the only way to export my entire Xanga to my own personal archives. I thought it was worth $4. Anyone know what else I can to do with premium that might be cool? Well, I only have it for one month.

I'll be re-importing my Xanga posts on Blogspot. Sneaky :)

  • Experiment

I am conducting a blog experiment.

If you still are using Xanga, and you read this entry (through some feed or your subscription or by regularly checking in or whatever), and you consider yourself a pretty regular Xanga user still, leave a comment indicating such.

    Thanks!

  • Yesterday I was walking into Schlotzsky's (or maybe I was walking out, I don't know) and I thought to myself, "You know, I get over myself just a little bit every day..."

I still have such a long way to go; I think I am the most selfish person alive...

In other news, I registered for classes. If you have been wondering, yes my academic plans changed pretty dramatically from when I first came to Austin. I am now studying Linguistics. Whenever someone asks me, "Why do you want to study Linguistics? What languages do you know? Do you want to be a speech therapist or a linguist?" I don't really know what to say to them. I just think languages and people groups and the way we learn and communicate are all incredible phenomena. Like, in the beginning was...the Word. Language seems to me to be very important to God. He reveals who He is to humanity through a particular language, people group, culture and time period in history. It's significant. So, the idea of language itself, and the in's and out's of how it's structured and what it does within our brains, is what I want to study.

And after that, we'll see what else I want to study/pursue/do as a job. My ultimate vision/dream in life - for now as well as the future - hasn't changed...just the school part.

  • For some reason, I think I look my best when I am getting ready to go to bed. I've thought this for a long time, I'm not sure what it is. Maybe it is the fact that I have had all day to get my blood flowing and my hair gets a little volume from doing things throughout the day to shape it or whatever. I'm no expert in beauty things, I just think I look awesome right before bed. Even if I'm putting facial stuff on and there are little dots of opaque white crap all over my face, I still think I look absolutely ravishing - a total boy-magnet...I should not be allowed to be seen like this...

Well, I'm going to sleep now :)
